A Space for Creativity and Emotional Support for Ukrainian Children in Vilnius

In times of change and uncertainty, it is especially important to create safe and nurturing spaces where children can express their emotions freely, develop their creativity, and discover their inner resilience. Experiences like these help foster a sense of security, strengthen self-confidence, and support a child’s emotional well-being.

On June 22, a free art therapy session for Ukrainian children aged 6–10 will take place in Vilnius. Designed for a small group of only seven participants, the program will offer children an opportunity to explore their feelings through creative activities, connect with peers, and spend time in a warm and supportive environment.

The session will combine artistic expression, emotional awareness practices, and professional psychological support. Art therapy is widely recognized as a gentle and effective tool that helps children better understand their emotions, process experiences, and develop inner resources for navigating everyday challenges.

The workshop will be led by Kristina Rimkutė, a certified specialist in therapeutic practices, a conscious breathing instructor, and a facilitator of educational programs, seminars, and retreats. Her work focuses on helping individuals strengthen their inner resilience, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate emotional balance and well-being.

An important part of the program will be personalized feedback for parents. Following the session, each family will receive individual observations regarding their child’s emotional state, along with insights and recommendations that may help support the child’s development and well-being at home.

While the children participate in the program, parents will have the opportunity to enjoy some personal time, attend to their own activities, or simply relax, knowing their children are being cared for in a safe and supportive setting.
