On May 13, as part of the “Visits to the Pyramid of Merkine” program, a special trip was organized for seniors from the Seniors' Hive center. The space of nature, silence, and shared presence became an opportunity for the participants to restore their inner balance, feel support, and spend the day in an atmosphere of calmness, warmth, and harmony.
The participants were welcomed by Povilas Žekas — the founder of the Pyramid of Merkine — who shared the history behind the creation of this place and its sacred meaning. His story helped the group connect more deeply with the atmosphere of the space and tune into a mindful and peaceful experience.
A particularly meaningful moment of the visit was the prayers and folk songs performed by Povilas Žekas under the dome of the Pyramid. The combination of voice, silence, and the surrounding natural environment created a sense of inner peace, gentle emotional restoration, and harmony.
Participants had the opportunity to spend time in the Pyramid space at their own pace, walk around the surrounding area, and enjoy the nature nearby. For many, this trip became a chance to experience lightness, inner fulfillment, and emotional calm.
During the trip, the seniors also visited the Archangel Gabriel spring, where they collected pure spring water.
The visit took place in a warm, heartfelt, and supportive atmosphere. Participants shared feelings of gratitude, inspiration, and inner balance after visiting this place.
For the Z.O.D.D.I.A.K. team, initiatives like this are an important part of our mission — to create programs that help people feel whole and build harmony with themselves and the world around them. We believe that attentiveness to the older generation and creating spaces of care, support, and human warmth for them is an essential part of a healthy and harmonious society. It is through the connection between generations, respect for life experience, and the ability to be present for one another that inner resilience, community, and a sense of support are formed in today’s world.
